What Korektor is

A tool where teachers create assignments and students upload their work, which is graded automatically with the help of artificial intelligence. The grade and the comments are suggestions; the teacher decides the final grade.

What data we collect

Teachers: name and email address. If you sign in with Google, Google gives us only your name, email address and an account identifier. If you use email and password, the password is stored only as a hash. Teachers who try Korektor without an account get an anonymous trial account linked to a cookie.

Students: the name typed into the form, the text of the work, the original file uploaded (so the teacher can download it), small previews of the images in the work, and the grading result. Students do not create accounts.

Payments: if a teacher buys gradings, the payment is handled by Stripe; we receive confirmation of the payment, not card details.

What we use the data for

Only so the teacher can see the work submitted to their assignments and the student can receive feedback. We do not sell data, show ads or use the data for any other purpose.

Who sees the data

Each teacher sees only their own assignments and the work submitted to them. A student sees only their own result, according to the settings the teacher chose. The work is sent for grading to an artificial-intelligence model (Cloudflare Workers AI or Anthropic Claude), which processes it only to produce the grading.

Where it is stored

On Cloudflare infrastructure, with the database and uploaded files kept in the European Union. Data stays until the teacher deletes the assignment (which also deletes its submissions) or asks for the account to be deleted.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, its correction or its deletion by writing to knowledgebottle1@gmail.com. For a student's work, please first contact the teacher who created the assignment.
