What is Korektor

Korektor grades students' written work with AI, using the teacher's rubric. In about 30 seconds the student gets a grade on the Éire grading scale and red-pen comments written right on the text. The teacher sees all the papers in one place and has the final say.

How it works

  1. The teacher creates the assignmentChoose a template (report, creative writing, essay), write the task and the rubric, with points for each criterion.
  2. Students get a linkNo account needed: the student opens the link, types their name and uploads their work as Word, PDF, PowerPoint or a photo.
  3. The grade comes right awayIn about 30 seconds the student sees the grade, the score for each criterion and the comments on the text. The teacher gets the paper in “Papers received”.

Grades on the Éire scale

Korektor converts the rubric score into a grade on the Éire grading scale: 0–100. If you prefer, you can also use percentages from 0 to 100.

Frequently asked questions

Do students need an account?

No. Students open the link from their teacher, type their name and upload their work. Only the teacher has an account.

What files can students upload?

Word (.docx), PDF, PowerPoint (.pptx), LibreOffice (.odt), plain text or photos of handwritten work. Korektor also looks at the drawings and diagrams in the work.

What language are the comments in?

In English, in words suited to the student's age. Spelling and punctuation are checked against the rules of English.

Is the AI's grade final?

No. The AI suggests the grade and the comments, and the teacher can change them at any time. The teacher decides the final grade.

Can Korektor detect AI-written text?

It gives a rough estimate with its reasons, which usually only the teacher sees. It isn't proof: talk to the student before drawing any conclusions.
